Short Story

  1. I was diagnosed with hyperthyroid 5 yrs ago in the ER. I then was told to take a Radiation pill or RAI to kill the part of my thyroid that is affected. I did after a month of reading on it the best I could. But after 2 other trips to the ER I finally decided to take it which made me bedridden for 9 months. Ever since then I’ve very slowly got stronger but not enough to work. I tried to apply for disability but was turned down as they dont consider thyroiditis or hashimoto’s as a disability. I have a few clothes but need more and have no help no family nor parents I was a homeless teen in my youth, life hasn’t been easy but I’m 50 now. Any help would greatly be appreciated I do get the cheapest clothes I can find so Temu us a great place to start. I’m getting stronger but I still unfortunately cannot work as I need to lay down frequently still. I can’t stay up all day. I do not make money in any other way yet as my muscles get stiffer the longer I do repetitive motions. I thought about trying to possibly make videos about beauty or make up but I don’t get many followers sometimes I get sad bc I think about when I was able to move without pain or worrying about my body. When I first was sick my partner was able to get me some sweats and sweat shirts but I need more lighter clothes to move more. Plus lighter clothes keep sores from forming on my body from immobility. I have only been able to get a few things off of temu in the past 5 years. Thank you, anything to help.
