Dental work
Story
Hi all,
Im not one to ever ask for help. Â I’ve always been the one who would give the shirt off my back to anyone in need and I would go without. I was okay with that as long as it put a smile on someone else’s face!
I’ve been dealing with problems with my teeth and gums which has caused my teeth to start getting soft under the enamel making it to where my teeth started breaking and I can literally peel my teeth apart piece by piece.
I am a single mom of 3 kids, two of which live with me full time and neither have their dads present in their lives.
I once was on Medicaid due to my kids having it but they said I no longer qualify and told me to apply for free healthcare.  The free healthcare program does not provide any support for  dental work.
I’ve dealt with this issue of all my teeth being broken at the gums and some just pieces broken for over a year and it’s gotten so much worse.
A week before Thanksgiving 2024 I ended up in the emergency room because I wasn’t feeling well and could barely hold my head up much less try to walk around.  I could not eat anything because everything j tried to swallow would  get stuck in my throat no matter how small.  I lost so much weight I was down to 98lbs.  They decided to draw blood to see if they could find the problem.
Upon arriving they asked if I had any internal bleeding anywhere that we knew of and my mom said no.
The nurse said well her hemoglobin level is a 6 and it’s supposed to be I believe she said between 10-12.
She said if that number drops just one more number that could cause cardiac arrest or possible heart attack.  I looked at my mom scared to death and said mom what does that mean.  The nurse said you have to have an emergency  blood transfusion. Panicked is an understatement. I just wanted to go home. Of course I’m O+ blood type and the nurse says in the hallway we don’t have any blood to give her.
An hour passes by and finally they found one bag to give me. Â I just wanted to go home.
With the whole back story I say that to say this,  due to the issue with my teeth it’s caused there to be a consistent infection throughout  my gums causing my red blood cells to be attacked leading to even bigger health problems.  I do not have funds to afford to get them all pulled and get replacement teeth. I’m only 35 years old and my kids only gave me in their life.
I’m desperate for a miracle.  My teeth issue is causing huge underlying health problems and I can’t get insurance for help. It’s not offered  If anyone out there sees this please I’m praying please if you are able please help me so I could be here a little longer with my children.
I thank any and everyone who takes the time to even read my story.
I will not lose faith and I’ll continue to believe someone somewhere out there is able to help guide me in the right direction with this .
