Story
Introduction to the Fundraise Campaign
The Sicacha Charity Initiative aims to launch a fundraising campaign to support a noble cause: providing a vacation school for the youth and single mothers in Busiabala and Namayingo villages in Busia District. The primary intention is to create a safe and nurturing environment where these individuals can acquire new skills, enhance their knowledge, and gain confidence.
The Need for a Vacation School
The youth and single mothers in Busiabala and Namayingo villages face numerous challenges, including limited access to education and vocational training opportunities. This lack of access hinders their ability to secure better-paying jobs, improve their socio-economic status, and break the cycle of poverty. A vacation school will provide a much-needed platform for these individuals to engage in constructive activities, learn new skills, and develop essential life skills.
Objectives of the Fundraise Campaign
The primary objectives of the fundraise campaign are:
To raise funds to contract a vacation school at a piece of land we acquired in Busiabala. This School will accommodate more than 200 single mothers in Busiabala and Namayingo villages and other neighboring communities
To provide a safe and supportive learning environment that fosters personal growth, skill development, and socialization.
To empower the youth and single mothers with knowledge, skills, and confidence to improve their socio-economic status.
To provide alternative sustainability strategies to underprivileged children, empowering youths and teenage mothers and protecting them from Cyber bulling and fight against gender inequality.
Proposed Activities and Programs
The vacation school will offer a range of activities and programs, including:
Vocational training in areas such as tailoring, hairdressing, and agriculture.
Life skills training, including HIV/AIDS awareness, financial literacy, and conflict resolution.
Academic support, including remedial education and mentorship.
Recreational activities, such as sports, music, and art.
Target Beneficiaries
The target beneficiaries of the vacation school are the youth and single mothers in Busiabala and Namayingo villages. These individuals will benefit from the various programs and activities offered at the school, which will equip them with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to improve their lives.
Fundraising Strategy
The Sicacha Charity Initiative will employ a multi-faceted fundraising strategy, including:
Online fundraising campaigns through social media platforms and crowdfunding websites.
Offline fundraising events, such as charity runs, auctions, and bake sales.
Partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and stakeholders to secure sponsorships and donations.
