Story

Hello Begslist community,

I am reaching out because I am so close to completely breaking the cycle of homelessness, but I have hit a financial wall and need a hand up.

A while back, I managed to secure a steady, new job. It was a massive turning point for me. Thanks to that stable income, I was recently officially approved for a permanent apartment.

The issue is that while waiting for an approval and trying to keep a roof over my head, I have been living out of hotels. This is costing me roughly $2,500 a month. Because almost every dollar of my paycheck goes directly to keeping a temporary room, it has been mathematically impossible for me to save up the lump sum needed for the upfront move-in costs (security deposit and first month’s rent).

I don’t need ongoing assistance. I have a steady income that will fully cover my bills and rent once I am in. I just desperately need a one-time financial bridge to cover the initial move-in costs so I can leave this hotel cycle behind for good.

If anyone is able to help, I am more than happy to provide proof of my apartment approval or work with you to pay the landlord/rental office directly to ensure total transparency. Thank you so much for reading.
